question about the ART/Disneyland schedule

On our last visit I was surprised when the ART driver told us that there was not transportation for an hour or so each afternoon so that the drivers could have lunch breaks. Does anyone know if they still do this?

Also, does anyone know how late they run after the park closes? The last time I looked it said 30 minutes. Well, if they only run every 20 minutes, that would mean there's one bus after the park closes. So, if you don't get on the first bus you just don't get a ride???

Last time we only rode the ART a couple of times. I know it doesn't start running early enough to get you to the park on the day you have early entry. We learned that sad lesson last time around. We ended up only using the ART two or three times because the service was so slow and unwieldy.

Has it improved any?

Yes, they take a break in the middle of the day, they say it's an hour but IME sometimes it's more like 90 min. The last shuttle of the day is 30 min. after park closing, so they wait until 12:30 to leave. If you need to take a shuttle it's always best to stay at a hotel that has it's own shuttle, CCI does and the Crowne Plaza & Hyatt share a shuttle.

we have been talking a bit an when we do get to go again we were thinking useing Art. I just dont know enough about it all. dose any one know what times it is when they do the lunch time?

I think it's 1-2 or 12:30-2 or something close to that. It seems so lame that they would shut down the whole system for lunch, they don't do it for dinner so why lunch? kwim?

Only weekdays do they take the break. Not on weekends, and they let you know on the morning runs what the break time is. Sometimes it is 1-2 othertimes 12:30-1:30 or 2.

Yes, every week is different though. For example, these past 2 weeks there aren’t any due to Spring Break.

I guess it might be worth it. If I remember correctly, they did a punch card. Does anyone know if there is an expiration date? I think there was...meaning that you can't buy a 3 day pass and spread it's use out over 5 days. HM.

I'm going to have to think about this one! I guess I'll wait until we get there and buy passes at HoJos.

It is a card but it's been years since we've done ART so I don't remember exactly how it worked. I do think we bought a 3 day but we didn't use them consecutively.
