Question about teen aged girls.

We have dealt with this. I have 2 dd's 15 & 12. DD15 the group split apart and it was horrible with the gang up of girls against each other. Usually happened on the bus to and from school. This year hasn't been bad - thank god it is over. They are all on speaking terms. The drama last year was horrible. DD12 had a friend who was very bossy, excluded DD12 for 4th grade when a group of friends did something, birthday party - would go up to her face and say she was not invited, etc - just mean stuff. Moved to another school in 5th grade so they really didn't have any contact that year. This year in 6th grade they have become good friends when we put DD12 back into this school because of problems with other school - again with girls - who would have known! They walked down the isle at graduation together. The other girl is a total sports fanatic and she was dressed in short shorts - too short for school per guidelines, where as my dd had a very nice sundress dress on.

I'm glad she had an okay time and didn't let that little 'pickle' ruin it for her. I know it's easier said then done but she has to PRETEND like nothing this girl does bothers her. She just needs to be herself, ignore this girl and her mean girl attitude and when the other girl realizes that she has no effect on her, it won't be fun anymore. :thumbsup2

You know you hit the nail right on the head. Wonder why I didn't think about that? Chances are DD is giving her the reaction she wants. If she shows there is no effect at all then it will not be fun anymore. No doubt conversations with the other girls got back to bossy.

Thank you everyone for your concern. Hopefully with time and maturity all this will go away. And as others said DD will learn who is her real friends, if any and who isn't.

Glad she had a good time:goodvibes

Teen girls are such....pickles;) There's this one girl in my class who, well I could go on for hours with the things she's done and probably make bossy girl look nice:eek:
