My parents are joining us in Disney for a few days at the end of August. My dad is having a double knee replacement when we get back but for now it is almost impossible for him to walk long distances... therefore they have rented a scooter for him to use. They will be staying at Fort Wilderness Campground which has boat transport to MK. Has anyone with a scooter ever taken it on a boat? Is it a hassle or not a big deal. I was discussing it with my mom and since you have to park so far away from the park at MK it might be a much better option then them driving to the park. Please give me any and all imput. Thanks!!

Most of the time the boat from MK to FW is accessible, very rarely the water levels will make it difficult. If you cannot use the boat, you can take a bus from FW(from your cabin loop you want the Orange Settlement bus to get to WL without a transfer in the campground) to WL then board the bus from WL to MK.

The boat that runs the WL, CR, FW route is not accessible.
