question about taking Monorail in the morning

Can you enter the park in the morning on the monorail from Downtown Disney? Does it open when the park opens? Or is it better to go to the front and queue up there to get in quicker?

The Monorail doesn't really have a large capacity to transport guests, so you may have to wait for multiple monorails before you get to board. So in that way, I think it would probably be faster to walk to the Esplanade and enter the park from there.

Don't take a chance on it not being ready to go at park open. It can really slow you down to hoof it through DTD after finding it not ready to go at park open. And it puts you behind a LOT of other guests.

Totally this, and crowds ahead of you can delay you even further. Walking to the main gate as early as possible before opening and using gates 14 or 19 (the ones obscured by trees) is usually the fastest way in.

OK what about if you ate at a hotel breakfast and after, want to take the monorail to the park. what time will it let me get in line sense I am not a hotel guest only ate at one.

It's only limited to resort guests during EMH. Anyone can get in line once the park opens to general admission. I don't know when they start forming a line for that as I've only been in the EMH line a couple of times, we usually go to the main gate as it usually gets you in faster.
