Would you rather stay in 2 studios preferred view or a 2BR standard as far as a view perspective? (This is 2 separate families, BTW).

I would rather stay in the 2 bedroom. IMHO, the extra space and the washer/dryer right in the unit are worth a lot more than the preferred view. Some of the standard view rooms even have views of the higher EPCOT fireworks. You won't get that from the preferred views UNLESS you are lucky enough to get a Boardwalk view. JMHO. YMMV.

I'd also request a lock-off 2 BR so each family could have their own entryway and the 2nd bedroom could be locked off, if desired. The benefit of the significantly increased space, big refrig with a real freezer and ice cubes, washer/dryer, and jacuzzi make the 2 BR a real treat.

UNLESS (and this is a biggie) you really want to be sure you have your separate space. It can be difficult traveling with other people, and there's such a thing as too much togetherness.

hi: we love the 2br units. once you stay in a 1br or larger unit, it will be hard to go back to a studio. with a 2br, you could always just close the connecting door between the living room and the 2nd br(studio)unit. having the larger refrigerator in the kitchen is really worth it as well as having the laundry facilities right in your unit.

Go with a 2BR. Having the living room, kitchen, w/d, and huge bathroom beats any 2 studios any day. A 2BR, which alsmost the size of 3 studios, gives you far more space. Standard views are fine at BWV and really just as good as many preferred views--people think, when they hear it is overlooking parking lot, that the parking lot is all they see. In fact the parking lot is so far away from most of the rooms that you can hardly see it and instead you see well maintained ground and garden areas and the front entrance to the the resort; some can even see Epcot fireworks and some rooms even face directly at MGM.

All of the two bedroom units at BWV are lock offs. There are no dedicated two bedrooms at this resort.

Thanks for the input, everyone. I will definitely push to get a 2br for our first night there instead of the 2 studios! :D
