Question about sponsoring

The written "how-to" on the form (in french, haha) says you should be at the AP office in person at least "in the month before the month of expiration" which is a funny rule (as this can be a limit of 1 day or even 30 days). You're on the safe side with showing up at least 4 weeks before expiration (or earlier of course).

You can either send the form together with your AP the postal way. The earlier you send, the better it will be working, but I know from own and other user's experience that they even manage to handle letters that arrive a week before expiry. Important is that it can be processed within the validity of your AP.

Talking about the form itself, it's foreseeable that there will be a new Parrainage form in November as the actual one will expire then (which just means you can't do new sponsorings after that date probably; the one you already have filled out and stamped will of course be accepted!).

I am a bit confused about the new form in November. We have 4 annual passes and we would like to sponsor 3 people on each to get 12 months free on each. We are thinking about going at the end of November, so will we still get our free months if we bring our completed forms then? Or do we have to wait to sponsor people after the new form comes out in November? Also, are the 12 months added from the date the form is validated, or is it from the expiry of the annual pass?

Thanks

Moved this from the sponsor thread since it is a question and you'll get more replies :)

If it were me I'd still go with the existing form as a replacement may not be available before you go :goodvibes

So I need to sponsor 12 people on the existing forms before November, and get the stamped forms back, and these will still be valid if a new form comes out in November?

And the will add the months on from the expiry date rather than from when we visit in November?

Thanks

Can you send the completed Parrainge form to Disney to add the free months to the annual passport, cos I dont think I will get 4 forms completed and back with me between end of september and middle of November (when I go again), or do I need to do it in person??

Hi

I'm sorry to ask this again, but I got 4 annual passes at the end of August, and I would like to sponsor other passes to get the free months. However, to get these free months added to the passes, do I need to go in person to do it, or can I send the form and pass in the post to the annual passport office?

I am going again at the end of November, and might not have all the sponsorships done by then, so it would be useful if I could send it off before the expiry date on the pass. Also, are the added months added from the date you take the pass, or, from the expiry date on the pass.

Thanks

Hmmh, I'm not sure what the real question is.

First: the actual form has to be used before november 9. Once used and filled and stamped you can bring or send it to Disney whenever you want (but early enough before your AP expires). Even after november.

Second: I yet don't know if another form will come. Probably yes, as the sponsoring isn't connected to 15th anni or whatever. So for the people you sponsor after nov 9, you new forms then.

Third: I am not sure but quite optimistic that even "mixing" the forms will work. If you sponsor 2 people with the actual form and one with the new form, just staple them together. As long as you sponsored 3 in total it should work.

Fourth: the free months are always added to the expiry date of your AP. Simply spoken you get your AP exchanged to a new AP with no price and valid until 12 months after your old APs expiry. The earlier you claim the free months, the longer the new free AP will be valid, but you won't get more than 24 months in total :))

Fifth:yes you can send them postally, as I've written it in my answer on top of this thread. Address is written on the form itself. Just send the form together with your AP (keep a copy of both, you never know) to the AP office. To be sure nothing gets lost you might use certified mail (signed-for). This is also how you will get your new AP delivered then (takes 1-2 weeks).

Hope I answered any eventualities... if not, just ask ;)

Cheers

Many many thanks! All questions answered! By the way, on the Disneyland website there seems to be a link to a different Parrainage form, different to the one I took to Disney in August - maybe this is the new version for after November 9? Oh and I didnt realise I could sponsor 3 people who werent together, ie two from one group on one form, and 1 from another group on another form! great!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! :))

Can you give the link? There are plenty of historical pages online unfortunately, including the "3-folded-leaflet" from 2006, but this and this are the actual links that I know about.

I'm giving no guarantees so far!! But there's really no reason why CMs might want to ***** around if your friends aren't going in a group which is definitely none of the conditions. Of course it has to be ensured that you don't sponsor more than 3 in total (which would be possible, but questionnable to be wanted and legal, so I wouldn't dare to try :)

Cheers!
