okay so my current plan is since we arrive before 3 (check in time right?) is to use the luggage pick up service at the airport so we don't need to get our luggage, then get a bus to our hotel, from there hop a bus to epcot, then from there take a bus to shades of green to buy our tickets (using the military ones) then get back in time to check in by 3

are my facts right about check in time and taking a bus from a park to shades of green? or would i have to take a taxi there?

Official check in time is 3:00, but you can check in as early as 6:30 am. They just won't guarantee that your room will be ready until 3:00.

You can check in as soon as you get there, get your tickets, and head to the park (or where ever you are going to spend your day.)

I don't think there is a bus to sog. But it is a short walk from the poly. Take the bus or mono rail to the Poly then you have a 5 minute walk.

I'm confused by your post - are you staying at SOG, or just buying your tickets there? Need more information.

FYI, if you're staying at Shades of Green, it doesn't participate in Magical Express, because it's not an official WDW hotel. You would have to make your own travel arrangements to get from the airport to SOG (Mears shuttle service, town car, rental car).

Shades of Green does have its own separate bus system to and from the parks. There are no buses that run from SOG to other resorts-- just buses from SOG to each of the parks.

If you're simply purchasing your WDW tickets at SOG (and not staying there), it's easiest to take a taxi from your official WDW resort to SOG. You could take a bus from your official WDW resort to the Transportation Ticketing Center (TTC), then transfer onto a SOG bus, but it would probably waste a lot of time and not be worth it!

If you can, get your tickets for the parks prior to going to SOG. I had to get mine there & the girl must have been new & had no clue what I was talking about. Stood in line waiting for her to call all over the park just to get my tickets...frustrating.

If you're staying at SOG, it's a lovely resort. We rented a car from the airport- check priceline for the cheapest rates. But we did do some off site things. The bus from SOG to the parks is nice. And yes, there is no Magical Express from the airport to SOG. If you don't want to rent a car (and yes there is $10 parking at SOG) then arrange for a town car or a cab.

We were able to see the top 1/2 of Wishes from our room over the treeline, but we went in February. But I'm sure there are other places onsite that you can see them.
