Question about Soarin'

I really loved Soarin'--we got fastpasses, but my 6 yo DS kept picking the ride apart the whole time . He could see some of the lines in the clouds ?distortion, maybe and all I heard was "Mom, come on there's no lines in real clouds". Come to think of it, he did the same thing at MK w/Jungle Cruise--"Those animals are soooo fake, Mom!"-- little stinker!!

I absolutely love Soarin'. To my mind it feels as close to flying as I will ever get. It just makes me smile. Of course, if you already hang glide or sky dive, well then I'm sure this can't come close to the real thing. I'll never do either of those as I am way too afraid of heights, so I'm thrilled to have this simulation. It is a thousand times better than the Star Tours simulation which just makes me sick.

I love ALL the scents (ocean, pine, orange, etc.) I can't believe someone said they couldn't smell the pine - it came on two different times and was very strong (though I do have a very keen sense of smell....).

The water and other special effects some mentioned wouldn't be a bad addition, but I already love it.

One thing I WOULD DEFINITELY improve is to put the fast pass machine OUTSIDE the Land building!

we felt it was overhyped too...
Everyone had said it was so amazing (and as a ride wimp I was glad there was a new ride that I could do!) - and I thought it was good..
but we came out and said.. yeah.. that was good.. not amazing... but ok...

Glad that others feel the same.. thought I was going mad!

Maybe I'm just getting old, but I thought Soarin' was fantastic. Now if you're looking for a 'thrill' ride this may dissapoint you, but I thought it was very well done. I'm looking forward to the new film. I rode this in the morning after Test Track and Mission Space using the 'singles' line and had no wait.
