Question about So Cal Annual Passes

My hubby and I are from So Cal (lived there our whole life).
We are temporarily in Arizona through this summer.
Id like to take a vacation to Disneyland in the next 2 months. Since we are moving back I was thinking of getting an annual pass but since we won't go too often I figured the So Cal Select would would work pretty well.
So my question is, what do they need for us to show that we are (or will be again) residents. We still have our CA drivers licenses but our credit card info is changed temporarily to our current address. My husband says if the address info for the CC is not Cali we can't purchase the passes (I was hoping to put them on monthly pay to save the upfront cost). We've had annual passes numerous times in the past.
But I thought the important thing was for us to have our DL to show at the gate.
Can anyone give me insight?
Thanks!!

Sad to say you're probably out of luck for a while. Until your credit card address is back to a cali location, they probably won't let you get the socal pass. I bet there's a lot of people who try to scam the system this way so Disney has to stay vigilant. :stir:;):confused3:thumbsup2:hourglass:crazy2::mic::crowded::artist:::yes:::bitelip::worried::lovestruc

Call DL and ask what documentation you need to bring with you to the ticket booth to get your SoCal AP. (I did that so I didn't need to carry around important docs that I didn't need, but it was 9 years ago, when we first got SoCal APs.)

For sure though, the address your credit card is attached to does not matter -- you could have your cc bill sent anywhere in the world, what does DL care about that?

As I recall, if you have your driver license with CA address that is all you need. When I had an old driver license that had zip that was outside the SoCal numbers, I took a utility bill with my SoCal address.

So if you don't want to call, I'd just NOT get an AZ license -- they punch a hole in your CA DL when you do -- and make sure you have a proof of residence-type bill from SoCal address (mortgage, utility, etc.) that's fairly recent.

We did the payment plan up through last year [moved to AZ so now we have to pay all at once], always took a 1-3 month break in between, and they never asked for anything but my driver license when we re-started payment plan. So if you have done the payment plan before they probably won't ask for more than your driver license.

We are definitely not here long enough to get AZ Drivers license.
I will call though and ask ahead of time what I need to bring.

I don't think you'll have an issue buying the So Cal Select AP with your ID. I think you'll have a problem going on the payment plan without a CA billing address.

How many days is your trip? If you're only doing 2 park days, I'd get the So Cal 3 day ticket offer and use 2 days. Then go back on your next trip before it expires and upgrade. That will spread out the cost a little. As a bonus the first 2 days can be blockout days, and you could upgrade on a blockout day.

I think we were thinking of 3 or 4 days in the park.
We are on the worlds tightest budget for this trip so if I only have to come up with $96 per person it makes a HUGE difference then buying the 3 day hopper for $289 per person.
I will call and ask what I need to bring.
I am hoping I can do this because we will back living in So Cal by Sept when I want to do a second multi day trip there.
