So.... I haven an odd question for anyone who has used the rented snorkel gear at CC. Does anyone know what the snorkel gear is made of? Like rubber or silicone? I have an allergy to latex and can't have it near my face. Just wondering if the rental's gear is rubber based or if I'm better off buying some and bringing it with me.

Thanks for the help!

They seemed rubber to me, however, they will not fit over most glasses. I can't wear contacts and the snorkel mask didn't fit over either pair of glasses I brought with me (neither are large) so it was a waste of time and effort. I've had snorkel masks that will fit over my glasses so I was sad that I couldn't use them (I am quite blind without my glasses so not wearing them is not an option).

Most masks and snorkels are either PVC or silicone, but without knowing the exact brand of the equipment that they have a Castaway Cay, I couldn't tell you for sure. They have plenty of equipment available, so there's no need to reserve ahead of time. It's possible you could just get there on the day, check to see with the materials are, and then decide if you wanted to rent their equipment or not.
