I'm actually writing this for my neighbor. She wants to plan a big family cruise, unfortunately her single DS and single DSIL are not real thrilled. They want to know what a single girl can do on-board. I guess my question is....Can DCL really be fun for a single gal?? Hint: I think their looking for some single guys. :earseek: Has anyone had any experience with this? Would really appreciate some input.

Thanks

My favorite activity on a cruise bein people watching and rest (and I sport the orson welles-like body shape to prove it), my impression from previous DCL cruises is that it is simply not honest to convince someone to come on a DCL cruise thinking they will have an opportunity to meet a single guy. The only single guys are most likely single dads spending precious time with their children.

There are so many positive reasons to go on a DCL cruise. Wonderful food, service, entertainment, activities, and being a part of the larger family event.

Carnival is the place for hook-ups. And there is a place for each type of cruise in the market, just not the same place.

Isn't cruising to the Caribbean on a beautiful ship enough reason to go?
If not, what about sunbathing at the pool, enjoying the pristine beaches at Castaway Cay, shopping/snorkeling/swimming with dolphins in the ports, and going to the clubs at night? I'm a single girl, and if someone invited me to do all that, I would be ecstatic!
