Question about shirts - Customink

I see a ton of information here for iron-on transfers and designs. Thanks for the tips!

Has anyone used either an internet or local screen-printing shop? I've designed a couple of ideas for our summer trip but am worried about not being able to have them printed professionally because I've used a retro WDW logo and several park logos in my design. I used Customink dot com previously for shirt printing many years ago, but didn't have any trademarks to worry about. Can I use Disney art/logos with a custom screen-printer?

I realize I can just wait for their reviewer to accept or reject the design, but was hoping I could save myself some worrying or modify things before it would be rejected. TIA!

Saw your post as I'm searching for my own info for customink!

I just submitted my design with a mickey head on the front, and got an email back that to use Disney characters, you have to have a license. :( Here is exactly what they said so you have the full info:
"While checking on your order, I noticed that your design uses content that is protected by trademark or copyright. Disney protects their park names, characters, and all things Disney, so we need permission from a Disney licensing official to print any of those in an order. We are able to print official park names if they are written out in full and are customized with a family or group name. For example, "The Smith Family reunites at Walt Disney World!"

Such a bummer!! Now I'm not sure what to do either. If anyone has suggestions let us know!

HI! I have had GREAT luck with vistaprint.com. Custom ink rejected our image. Which is a bummer since we wanted hoodies. There are almost always coupons or groupons (also check living social) for vistaprint.

CG :)

We've used Vista Print too. Wish I can find another so I can get different styles/colors.

I've heard people have had luck with their local printers in their home town?

Vistaprint won't work because we were looking for colored shirts. Red, specifically.

I haven't tried local screenprinters yet. I had luck with TM material years ago with one in another state, but haven't worked with any around this area yet.

In my opinion, Zazzle.com is the BEST. CustomInk's turn around is way too long, all artwork must be "approved" and you pay for the amount of colors you use. I have only used VistaPrint for business cards but they do not have a wide selection of products as Zazzle. Zazzle let's you upload your artwork or image and let you know if it is too large or too small. You can put it on NUMEROUS items not only clothing.

Hi there,

Ive had some luck with local screen printers before, they are hard to find though because most are afraid of doing disney designs, that being said...Ive attempted to use Zazzle and had the designs rejected which I thought odd because they sell all kinds of Disney designs themselves but that was my experience.

Thanks everyone.

Our latest approach appears to be attempting some DIY screen printing. Will actually be cheaper by almost half if it works at all.

Has anyone gotten their design printed on transfer paper at Office Max and then ironing on themselves?
