Can anyone tell me exactly who is able to check into Shades of Green? Is it only for active military,or can someone who is retired from the Army check in as well?
I believe you need a military ID card. My dad got us in last time he is retired airforce we were able to get 2 rooms. Here are a few pics if you are interested. I really liked SOG. It was nice to come back to a place that was less hectic. The buses ran well in my opinion. It's a little different since you use the transportation center more often then a regular disney resort guest but the buses didn't seem as crowded. You also get the one big military family feeling and from what I experienced everyone was rather nice even after a a long day at the park.

I remember a thread where people were saying Shades of Green was letting in ANY veteran during September and January if they had a DD214 showing an honorable discharge. There might have been a limited booking time for that, but if it's still going on then you wouldn't need to be active or retired to stay.
