Question about sending a package to resort

Is it true that now you are not suppost to ( or shouldn't ) put your arrival date on a package you send to the resort before you arrive? We've always put the arrival date and resv. number and need to send a pack in a day or two,so need to know what to put on the label.Thanks

We have always put our arrival date and reservation on our packages. We had family members arrive yesterday. They shipped a box down prior to arrival with reservation# and arrival date and had no issues. I've never been instructed otherwise.
