Hello friends!
I'm new in this forum. I'm Damian from Argentina.

I write you to ask some questions, as the title says, about shipping a package to a Disney Resort.

My niece is travelling to Walt Disney World, and she's going to stay at a Disney Resort.

I want to buy a gift for her (a wearable camera for sports so that she can film her vacation.), and send it to her room at the resort.

1) Is this possible?
2) How would you address it?

The camera site says '*PLEASE NOTE: FedEx or UPS may require a signature at the time of delivery.' This means that someone has to sign it as 'delivered'.

3) Do clerks sign it and then send it to your room? Or how would that work?
4) Does the hotel charge a package handling fee?

Please help me!
I hope you understand me, English is not my first language... :confused3

You were perfectly understandable! And very nice of you to surprise your niece with a gift.
If I'm incorrect here, I know others will correct me if I"m not, but from what I understand you will need to ship it directly to the hotel address with your nieces name and c/o hotel name, and then hold for check in date of....

So if I were to ship something to Beach Club the address label would look like this.

Jane Smith
c/o Beach Club Villas
Hold for guest arrival on: 01/14/12
1800 Epcot Resorts Boulevard
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

Below will show you the addresses for all the hotels on Disney property.

And yes the hotel will sign for it.

The "shipping to your resort" sticky over on the Resort Boards might help you:

I went to FedEx and shipped from there. I found that the FedEx label didn't have enough lines for all of the information that people suggested I put in the address. I filled out the label like this:

Recipient’s Name: Disney’s Beach Club Villas Phone: 407-934-8000
Company Name: ______________________ [I left this blank]
Address: 1800 Epcot Resorts Blvd
Address: Hold for guest [my name]
City: Lake Buena Vista State: FL Zip: 32830

If there's not room on the address form to put the date that she will arrive, don't worry about it.

Don't worry about the signature part. The hotel will sign for it.

When she gets to the hotel, there will be a message telling her that she has a package. If she is staying at a hotel with a convention center (Yacht and Beach Club, Contemporary, Coronado Springs, BoardWalk, and I think one other one), she will have to walk over to the hotel's convention center to pick it up. The company which runs the convention centers will charge her.
The fee is based on the weight of the package:
1 to 4 pounds: $3
5 to 20 pounds: $5
21 to 70 pounds: $10
over 70 pounds: $0.70 per pound.

If she is staying at a hotel which does not have a convention center, I believe the package will be held for her at the hotel's front desk or at the hotel's bell services. When she gets to her room, she can call down and have bell services bring the package up to her room. There will not be a charge, but she probably will want to tip the bellman who brings the package up to her room.
