Question about selling some points

I have some points that need to be banked by Sept 30. I am considering selling these points. Can I sell them after they are banked? I don’t want to sell them before Sept 30 as there is a slight chance I may use them in 2022.

If you are talking about selling the underlying contract, then yes. In fact, I'm sure the buyer will appreciate that they are banked given how close you are to the banking deadline.

If you're wanting to rent the points then yes, you can rent banked points, the travel will just need to be in the UY that the points are banked into.

No. I do not want to sell the contract. Just the 2021 points - so transfer them to another.

Since you mention banking them first in your OP, those BANKED points can't be transferred to another member.

When a member does receive a points transfer, those points are bankable.

Just to clarify: the person receiving the transfer would still need to bank by Sept 30, 2021, or only be able to use them by Jan 31, 2022.

To add, with availability being pretty slim right now, it may be difficult to find owners who want them.

I guess I’d someone had a trip booked made 7 months or less, they could swap out for their own points and then bank those.

I agree. I am thinking of just banking them and renting a reservation at some point before Jan 31, 2022.
