Hi all-- this is my first post here.

Myself, DH and our DS (6) and DD (4) will be making our first family trip to WDW the first week of February 2007!! We're thrilled. My DD is crazy about the Disney Princesses, and we'd like her to have the chance to meet one or two. I have a couple of questions--

(1) is the only opportunity to meet Cinderella at one of the meals in her Castle? Those meals are so expensive-- we were hoping to meet princesses some other way. But Cinderella is a particular favorite of Maggie's.

(2) Has anyone been to the Character Dinner at AKershus in EPCOT? If so, which princesses were there? And was the food decent?

(3) Can one go into Cinderella's castle just to look around, or is the only way to see it if you go to one of the Cinderella's royal table meals?

Thanks so much for your help-- we cannot WAIT!!!!

Love,
Jess

Hi Jess - I have a Maggie too! :)

We just went to Disney in September. We did the breakfast meal at Akershus. We saw Belle in the lobby and Jasmine, Aurora, Mulan and Snow White came around to our table. The food was fine, but I probably wouldn't eat there if there weren't princesses.

There were definitely opportunities to meet the princesses other than the meals. There were a lot of characters in the Judge's tent in Toontown. I would get there early, though. That was probably the longest line we stood in and we weren't doing the princess line since we were doing the breakfast. I think Cinderella, Snow White and maybe Jasmine were in that line but that may change. We also saw Mary Poppins and Alice in England at Epcot.

You can walk through the bottom level of the castle but you need to do the meal to go upstairs.

Hope that helps! Seeing my three year old meet the princesses was one of my favorite parts of our trip.

Princess line in Toontown is your best bet. Been redesigned alittle inside with drapery and benches specifically for each Princess.....traditionally it is Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. (MNSSHP we also met Prince Philip and Prince Charming there)

We have met Sleeping Beauty in France and Snow White in Germany at EPCOT.

Jasmine is very often available in Adventureland with Aladdin and Genie. They say they are in Morocco, but we have never seen them there.

And you have the two Princess meals in Parks, and Cinderella at Park Fare Dinner.

We were told a couple of weeks ago on our trip, that Aurora will be doing pictures and sometimes autographs after the Let's Have a Ball show at the back of the castle. We found her there with Prince Phillip (the one with the blue eyes is such a cutie!). She won't be at the lunch at CRT since she can't be two places at once and she also was not scheduled to be in Toontown due to this new stage show. Best bet for her is Akershus meal or after LHAB.

I did not know that Cinderella was at Toontown--thought the best place for her besides CRT would be dinner at 1900 Park Fare. There she is with Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother and the two mice.

We saw Belle in France with Beast and also at Storytime with Belle. Other than the Royal Table lunch we did, and finally seeing Aurora, we couldn't find a princess to save our lives! I think it was just the timing of when we were certain places and the fact that we didn't go to Toontown since we found a lot of characters out and about. Good luck!

We got back recently and had dinner at 1900 Park Fare. It was great! We saw Cinderella princess: , Prince Charming, Perla, Suzy and Fairy Godmother. This was the best character meal we did all week. The interaction was wonderful -- Prince Charming even danced with my DD4 and she's been gushing since :lovestruc -- and the food was great too! I highly recommend this dinner!

btw, cast members typically can easily find out for you who is where.... they may not know who is at Toontown, but if there is someone you REALLY want to meet, they can find out the scheduled times.

If you are on a budget, I would recommend Toontown. The lines get long - we get there when it opens at 10am and do the Princess line first (that one gets the longest the quickest) and then Pooh characters line and then the other line last. Generally, the Princesses line will always be longest since they are 'face' characters (as opposed to a Pooh who has a stuffed head on) and they can actually talk and interact as opposed to being limited to gestures, etc. like the other characters.

If you are there in February, have you looked into the Princess & Pirate Party ? Its a special event requiring a separate ticket (not park entrance tho) that runs a few evenings each week during February 2007. Don't know many details, but if you search around on this board, you can find details.

good luck!

Thanks so much for all your help, everyone!! You have tons of information!!!! My daughter will be so excited. I think we'll probably plan on a dinner with the princesses, so we don't have to wait in too many lines to meet princesses elsewhere. My first-grader and my DH wouldn't particularly appreciate that. :)

BTW, we'll be coming from somewhere cold, too (Vermont-- one of the few states in the US that can sometimes rival MN and ND for cold weather!!). Even if it's in the 50's during the days, it will feel balmy to us Northerners!!

thank you all again.
Love,
Jess

We have had great luck meeting charactures in the world showcase, early when it opens. Alot of times we find charatures standing around with no one to talk to. Its awesome! We've had alot of luck in Maracco with Aladdin, Jasmine and Genie. And last time we had this wonderful Magical Moment with Belle and Aurora in a garden behind France. My son didnt want to meet the girls, but they approached him and flirted and got him to pose for all kinds of sweet shots!

You can find princesses at each of the parks except Animal Kingdom.

Here is a link that tells you where to find princesses in each park. Scroll down to the bottom and you'll find a chart that lists the princesses in alphabetical order and gives the locations.

In addition to what others have said. I hope your taking notes. ;) we saw Mary Poppins in the United Kingdom at Epcot.

Also Ariel at the dinner in Akershaus in Epcot.

Enjoy!

I went to the breakfast in norway. That was loads of fun. The food was very yummy. We saw Jasmine , Belle, Ariel, Princess Aurora, Snow White, and we were the first table they went to!! we were so excited. Even my grandma had alot of fun!! :)

We did the Toontown thing to meet princesses last January. The lines weren't too bad (and my 4 year old waited very, very patiently to meet the princesses) and we met Cinderella, Snow White and Aurora. This year, we are doing breakfast at CRT, but I am betting that we will still head over to Toontown. Oh, we met Ariel at her grotto as soon as it opened (10:00am last year), then headed to toontown.

We did lunch in Norway in September. We saw Ariel, Cinderella, Jasmine, Belle, and Aurora. They were all quick to tell us that Snow White would be in Germany (2 countries down) all afternoon. I thought it was great, they each came to the table and spent as much time as we wanted. The food was better than I expected. I would highly recommend it!

We went first week of Ocotber with dd3 who absolutely LOVES the princesses.

Cinderella - Magic Kingdom -- CRT, Toontown Fair; 1900 Park Fare
Jasmine - MK -- By Flying Carpets ride in Adventureland, CRT
Epcot - Princess Storybook Breakfast, Morocco
Ariel - MK -- Ariel's Grotto
Epcot - Princess Sotrybook Lunch and Dinner (with legs)
Sleeping Beauty - MK -- Toontown Fair (Sometimes)
Epcot - Princess Sotrybook meals, France
** Aurora was the hardest for us to find!
Mulan - Epcot -- Princess Storybook Breakfast, China with Mushu
Pocohontas - Animal Kingdom show (did not find her for autographs)
Belle - MK - CRT (blue dress), Toontown Fair (blue dress)
Epcot - Princess Storybook Breakfast (Yellow dress), France with the Beast (blue dress), Character Connection (blue dress)
Snow White - MK -- CRT, Toontown Fair
Epcot - Princess Storybook Breakfast

We also went to the breakfast in Norway and loved it. Belle was there right when you walked in to take a picture with and then you are seated. They bring food to your table so you never have to get up. One by one about 5 different princesses come to your table and say hi and let you take pictures. We enjoyed the food. It was fruit, eggs, potatoes and sausages. We also brought ds who doesn't care about the princesses but enjoyed all the food. Hope that helpes. :thumbsup2

I also forgot to say we saw the princesses in Toontown and went during the last show of the evening and only had to wait for about 5 min.

We were there the first week of October. We did the Princess lunch in Norway. Ariel was in the lobby where you could get your picture taken with her. Then the princesses who came around to the tables were: Belle, Aurora, Jasmine, & Cinderella. They were all great and made a special point of talking to each one of my Princess-crazed daughters :sunny: . We also did the 1900 Park Fare dinner where we saw Fairy Godmother, Cinderella, Prince Charming, and Cinderella's mice Perla & Suzy. Thought the food here was great and the characters also spent alot of time with my girls. In addition we also saw Snow White, Jasmine, & Mulan at MGM (near the hat). We saw Mary Poppins in England & Jasmine Aladdin & Genie in Morocco.

Have a great trip!
