Is soaring at Disney land the same as Disney worlds version? Also is Toy story mania the same? I'm deciding on going to disney world this year or going back to California and visit family. It has been 4 years since I seen my mom I just want to make sure the rides are the same. My kids were upset that I was thinking about going to Disneyland because they loved Toy story mania , Soaring and Rock and roller coaster.

Also, there is not a Rock n Rollercoaster at DL or CA. But there is the fabulous California Screamin rollercoaster at California Adventure.

Also be aware that Soaring is much more popular at WDW than at DCA. WoC has increased the lines and made the FPs run out quicker recently at DCA but it is NOTHING like at WdW. Standard wait at DCA is 30-45 minutes. Standard wait at WdW is 90-180min. People run to the Soaring FP machines at rope drop.

Pretty much the same thing at hollywood studios. People run to get FPs for TSMM. But they at least have FPs while DCA does not. Wait times for TSMM are probably 50%-100% greater in standby at Wdw than at DCA.

The thing is, Soarin Over California at DCA does not feel like the one at Epcot at all. At DCA Soarin is in Condor Flats which truly celebrates the aviation history of California. The entrance and queue just feel better at DCA and draws you in. At Epcot it feels sterile and uninspired. I have no ideawhy it is so popular at Epcot. The experience at DCA is far superior IMO.

And I would add that Soarin is probably still the top ride at DCA. It does have shorter lines than at Epcot but it has been around a lot longer. :)

Unrelated, but I've always thought that Soarin' is more popular at Epcot because you get people who are not as familiar with the sights of CA. DCA/DL is more of a locals (i.e., Californians) park, so a lot of guests have already visited the places. Just my 2 cents about it.

Otherwise, yes, as PPs have said, the two rides themselves are the same, just with different ques. The TSM que at DHS is much more elaborate than the one at DCA (not to mention most of the DCA que is outside).
