If the date when you check in is value season and during the stay the dates change to holiday season, is your price for the entire stay based on value season, or does it change when the "season" changes.
example, I am planning next trip........we are thinking of 10 days at least.....maybe 2 weeks, if we go in around 12/9/08, we may still be there when it changes to "holiday" season on 12/19, would our rate be at the higher price when that date arrives.
hope i am making sense.

I actually just went online to reservations, and put in dates that all fell value season, and then changed it to a cross over.......the price was the same. So it looks like it must be based on when you check in.
I know we want to go right after thanksgiving again next year, but we were even thinking of pushing it back a little into december, but not sure, since I don't want to be getting back home from the trip and have xmas a couple days later, Unless I can change my ways and be super organized and have all xmas prep done before the trip........LOL

Disney used to let you check in during a cheaper time and keep that rate the entire time. But they have announced that this practice is ending and you will be charged by the day with weekends and holidays at a higher rate than the rest of the week.

where did you see this announcement? I am just curious. I think we have decided on dates anyway that all fall within one "season" so it won't matter on the next trip.
I do know most hotels do have that practice of the rate being different depending on the time of year, day of the week etc. So I am used to that being the norm.

I just found the pricing chart and it looks like peak and holiday seasons will have weekday and weekend rates
