Question about resort pools

I have two questions on resort pools! I'm staying at All Star Sports. I leave Sunday morning for a solo trip through Friday morning.

1) Disney told me I'm allowed to lay on the beach area even if I'm not staying at the Polynesian. Is that true? since it's not a pool?

2) How late are we allowed to swim at All Star Sports resort pool? Does it ever close or are there quiet hours?

I was told on the phone by Disney that I can use other resort pools. Is that true?

You may use the pools at any All-Star resort. You may not use pools outside the All-Star resorts: http://www.disboards.com/threads/using-pools-at-other-resorts-faq-and-questions-new.3435293/

So you can swim at Music or Movies. You cannot swim at Beach Club, or even at Art of Animation.

I asked about the mini "beach" at the Polynesian and was told I can lay on the sand there.

This is true. But you can't use their pool.

How late are we allowed to swim at All Star Sports resort pool? Does it ever close or are there quiet hours?

Typical is 10-10. There are posted hours, and they've grown more serious with them after some incidents.

Surfboard Bay and Grand Slam USED to be 24/7,but both are now "lifeguarded hours only"(closing time is currently 11:00 PM-per post below).:)

We were at Sports last week and the pool hours were 9 (or 10) until 11 PM. I know for sure they closed at 11, because we were there until then a couple times, not positive on the opening though.

Oh thanks!!! Closing time is all I'm concerned about since I plan on going parks all day! Thanks!!

I am told that officially this is still the policy (as seen on the sign) but they find it hard to enforce and most CMs will tell you it is ok anyway but I find it unfortunate that guests paying to stay there would have to share the lounges or possibly not get one because of guests not staying there.

I wandered down to the Poly beach in November and sat on a swing a while, thought I was allowed to do that. The beach was almost completely empty on a cold November evening, hardly taking room away from paying guests.
