Question about reserving with codes

We usually book through DVC, but we want to make an extra trip this year paying cash - not points.

Can I make a reservation through the Disney website and then apply a code later? We also have AAA. Is it ok to book a room through the AAA website and then add a code later? Confused. Thanks for any input.

I'm also a DVC member and since we are using all this year's points in October, and need a disney fix this spring, we booked a AAA rate room through Dreams Unlimited for the spring. I think booking through DU is the easiest thing to do. If the codes come out, they should apply it (at least that's what I read, lol) and at the very least you can hopefully get a decent AAA rate.

You won't be able to add a code to a AAA created reservation unless it is a new offering from AAA. You can't book with AAA discount on the disney web site. I'd just call cro directly if you are doing room only with ap code. No sense going through DU for a trip where the codes are already posted unless you want to. They will make your priority seatings for you which is nice.
