Question about reserving to get a pin code?

I went to the Disneyworld site and planned a stay. I did not book it. But, I did hold the itinerary. To get a code is it better to cancel any saved itineraries or leave them up?

i believe the theory is that having saved trips improves your chances, however I don't think anyone has ever shared inside information that this in fact does increase your chances of getting a pin.

I have 4 saved trips in my account right now.....same dates & tickets & dining, just different hotels..

and I got an email today from "Disney Destinations" telling me they were excited I was planning a trip to the Polynesian and wanted to tell me more about the hotel and show me some pictures of the property..

I ordered the "vacation planning dvd" the other day b/c I've also heard that if you do that (or order maps) you can "trigger" a pin code - but as said before, there is no proof to that..

I have gotten pins before - but none that I could actually use...but Im holding out for one for June 2012!!

I saved a couple 2 weeks ago in hopes of being offered an upgrade from a value to a moderate for a low rate.

I didn't get that PIN, but I did get a PIN today for June 2012. 30% off deluxes. Unfortunately, we won't visit the World in 2012. So, it took Disney 2 weeks to realize I saved a vacation and then to send me the code. I left it alone for 2 weeks.

I keep getting email that shows pics of AKL....but I saved BCR and CSR I had AKL saved last month, so I guess they are a little behind! I have always gotten pin codes after saving my trip info, and sometimes when I had nothing saved at all....this time, nothing! I hope I haven't used up all my PIN pixie dust
