hi,

getting ready to book my bday trip tomorrow morning for next year at BCV. first time doing so. can you request an upper floor as opposed to a ground floor room? any other requests i should be making that i am not aware of? we are looking to book a 2 bedroom for our extended family.

thanks so much!

You can request a second floor if you would like. They will note the request on the confirmation but remember no requests are guarenteed.....

The one thing that you need to know for tomorrow morning is that there are 3 types of 2 bedroom villas and they are reservable room types (not requests).

1- Dedicated 2 bedroom with 2 queen beds in the second bedroom. (Only 25 villas)

2- Dedicated 2 bedroom with 1 queen bed and 1 queen sleeper sofa in the second bedroom. (~50 villas)

3- Lock-Off 2 bedroom. Which is a studio and 1 bedroom with connecting door. So the second bedroom (studio) will have 1 queen and 1 queen sleeper sofa as well as a kitchenette and entrance door. (max~75 villas)

So decide which options work best for your group and see if it's available.

The requests can always be made at a later date so if you don't get that pinned down that's OK.

thanks so much. i thought i had read somewhere about a "dedicated" 2 bedroom with 2 queen beds. guess this would be the best to request for comfort as opposed to the sofa bed option. any opinions on the comfort of the sofa bed?

hopefully, we can get the dedicated 2 BR. tomorrow is the 11 mth mark for making the ressie... so i will cross my fingers.

thanks again for the info. i am so excited to actually get booked tomorrow!!:yay:

The dedicated with 2/queens is the best choice if you are one family unit (2 beds, more space and closet space) and since you are calling at 11 months out you should get your choice of what room type.

There are times when families like the lock-off units. If they have two different families staying together, one can have the studio section with it's own kitchenette and outside door making less disruption to the other family and those sleeping in the family room.

As far as the sleeper comfort goes... They recently replaced the sleepers at BWV and BCV with a new style that is missing the dreaded bar in the back. Now when I say recently, that is about 1.5-2 years ago. I did not sleep on one but did lay down with my daughter and thought it seemed rather comfy. Most have posted positive comments about these sleepers.

Some of our family, DS, DDiL did sleep some of the nights on the queen sofa bed in the BCV dedicated two bedroom living room, and each thought it was a good sleep.

thank you to everyone who shared their advice.

thanks to the DIS, i booked a dedicated 2 BR with 2 queen beds in the 2nd BR. i am so excited, i can hardly stand it!!!! cannot wait to see the expressions on my boys' faces when they experience everything disney!!!!

counting the days until halloween 2009....

Glad you got the 2 queen room. One of the advantages of owning at BCV.

There are 25 of these rooms, all the dedicateds were to have 2 queens but a mistake was made in the room size/floor plan that didn't allow placement in most of the rooms. The rooms that did allow the 2 queens appear to not have a balcony door, only a window. These rooms are not equally placed through out the building so you may want to visit http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-bcv/ to see the locations and views (I believe 304 is also one).

Have a great vacation! BCV is great, I'm sure you will enjoy it.
