Question about reservation- CRT

I made a reservation for 4 at CRT at 8:30am. I have 4 (3 adults and 1 child) but I also have an infant. I wasn't counting her when I made the reservation- I wasn't even thinking. I called Disney and the lady said she wouldn't worry about it because she uses a high chair anyway. Has anyone had experience with this? I am nervous and don't want to miss out on CRT because of my silly error!

Everyone should be counted when making dining reservations. They need the exact number so they don't violate the fire code. I would try to change the reservation so that you have the correct number of people listed. While they may be able to seat you with the additonal person, they may not be able to if that would put them over capactiy.

A CRT reservation is hard to get, and you spoke with a CM who said you were fine with a lap baby. Listen to Disney on this one.

I would not cancel the reservation due to an uncounted lap baby (who is going to eat off your plate) if you don't have a backup CRT at a time and day that you want. This is a very common mistake - sometimes CM's won't even count the baby when making reservations for you if you tell them at the time of booking. It is hard to find reservations for odd numbers (5, 7) sometimes. Don't cancel it just because of this. You called, you told Disney dining, and you should be fine.

You are going to need a bigger table in order to fit the high chair. Phone CMs know nothing and constantly give out the wrong info. Yes, you will probably be fine, but you run the risk of them turning you away and then you are out the entire prepaid meal.

I would keep checking multiple times day.

That's not how it works. The phone CMs are notoriously clueless and constantly give out downright wrong information.

I concur with the PPs that the CMs on the phones are well known for having wrong advice. While it is unlikely that you'll be turned away, it is always a possibility because of fire code requirements. At a minimum, you might have to wait longer for a table because now you need a different size (a party of five won't be seated at table for four). I would keep checking for another table with the right party size.

You could always try searching for a table one size bigger (go to the next even number, so six in your case). If it comes up, snag it and then call the dining line to get the party size reduced. It's generally easier to go down in size opposed to up. (Caveat: I don't quite know how it works with the pre-paid ADRs.)

This. It is always best to have the correct number of guests listed, and every person counts, no matter how small. Try and change it ahead of time. If you can't, show up extra early and explain what happened. Hopefully they will be able to seat you, but you may have a bit of a wait. The tables at CRT are jammed together pretty tight, it is not as simple as adding a high chair to the end of a table. Good luck!

Thanks everyone! After much stalking of the Disney Reservation website- I was able to get a reservation for 5 at the same time this morning. :)
