I am a non-member of DVC and am thinking about renting points from a DVC member. I will need around 216 poionts. My question is can the total points I need be used for 3 different rooms? I wasn't sure if there is a limit of rooms the member can rent at a time or will I have to get 3 different members to help me. Is that allowed? I hope this isn't to confusing. Me and my family are going and we need 3 rooms. Any help clearing this up for me would be greatly appreciated. I just would like to know what I can do or can't do before I actually post what I need. Thank you.

as long as there are rooms available, there is no limitation. if one member has enough points, they can reserve all three rooms.

also, just FYI, you can request that the rooms be near one another but that is never guaranteed. you could wind up in separate buildings. (and assuming you are renting studios, you should also know that none of the studios are connecting.)

edited to add: i believe you may also need to provide names (and addresses and phone numbers, if they differ) of each person staying in each room.

more info on renting if you need it:

Attention Potential Renters - PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE

Quick note - if you have difficulty finding one person with 216 points, you can split this by room. So have have one member reserve two rooms for you with their points, then find someone else to reserve the third room for you. But you can't mix and match. So if someone is offering 200 points, you can't rent those 200 points and assume you'll pick up the other 16 somewhere else.

true. remember that (technically) you're renting reservations, not points.

One other quick question and thought.

Do you need multiple studios or multiple 1 or 2 bedrooms? If you are talking studios, you might try for a 2 bedroom plus a studio to accommodate your group. That way you will get a full kitchen for the whole group to use.

I'm looking for 3 different studio rooms located where ever. It's a family trip but we would all still like to have our own privacy in the room. So I don't have any room requests at all really. I hope it being a slow time will make it easier to get this. Thank you all again for your help. I will probably be asking more questions until I am more familiar to post the request so I hope I don't bug you all. Thank you.

What are you considering a slow time? Those DVC slow times don't always mesh with WDW or your home town slow times.

I just mean WDW being slow that time of year. I know the week after Labor Day it is pretty much empty. My DH and I went on our Honeymoon at that time and there was hardly anyone at the parks. That was 2003, I'm hoping that's still the way it is. We usually go in the middle of July so I guess anything compared to that time of year seems slow.

I know I posted this before but now I'm not seeing it. We are planning for check in on Sept 13 and check out Sept 20 in 2008. Sorry I thought I already put when we were going.
