Question about renting points to someone

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask so if it's not please feel free to move it. Here's my question:
Let's say I'm renting points out to someone who wants to stay for 7 nights but I only have enough points for 5 nights. How do they get the other 2 nights? Do they make a second reservation for cash?

You don't rent points, you rent a reservation. If you don't have enough points for an entire reservation, I wouldn't rent. Too many things to go wrong for the renter.

They can rent points elsewhere and link bookings but as Bill says too many things can go wrong for them. Rent out to somebody that only needs that amount I would. Or let a company like David's manage it. Worth the cost. I have used them for both renting out points and renting points. Very good.

Can you borrow points from next year and do the entire reservation for them?
