Question about renting DVC points...

ok...so I have never rented DVC points. I have thought about this for a future family trip. My question is, how many points would be needed for a week long vacation (approximately 7-8 days)? Is this how they base the point system? Please help!! Thanks!!

Click on the tab at the top of this website (wdwinfo.com) that says Disney Vacation Club. It will give you a points chart or calculator. Then, once you know how many points, it depends on how much it will cost based on what the person who is renting them to you will charge per point.

The number of points you'll need will depend on the resort, the dates of your trip, the type/size of villa you want, and in some cases, the view you want.

Take a look at the points calculator. Then read all of the stickies on the Rent/Trade board; you'll get a good understanding of the rental process.
