question about rental companies

Hey guys, I was hoping you could help me out here. Two years ago I remember being able to pick the car I wanted from a designated row...but I can't remember which company it was. I think it may have been Enterprise but don't remember ever renting from them. Which companies let you pick the car?? Thanks in advance!!

If you join the Emerald Club at National, you can chose any car that is in a special area of the garage. You pay for a mid-size and then get whatever car you can see on the lot. Last time we paid for a mid-size, but left the garage with a small SUV.

It's hit or miss and somewhere on this board, there's a post about what's been available on "Emerald Aisle" (sorry I don't know how to link to it). You run the chance of just getting a mid-size, but at least you get to pick what you want.

The Mousesavers site has a join free option for the Emerald Club if you go to their National page.

actually, Alamo and National both allow you to choose whatever car you want from the designated row you reserved. The Emerald Club with National allows you to totally skip the counter, but everyone that rents from them chooses their own car. It is for this reason that I only rent from those two companies....
