Hello!

I'm a bit nervous to post on the rent/trade board. I don't want to do it wrong and get kicked off.

Can you post a "reservation wanted?" Thanks for the help!!:yay::yay:

Sorry...just edited it to not include dates and just my question.

you should expect your post to be edited as you can't ask for rentals on this board.

timeshares tend to book up well in advance - you'd be better off to start looking more than 6 months in advance - so your request is not all that reasonable. don't be surprised if no one responds to you.

if you see someone with a reservation already made that matches your dates, go for it...but realistically, plan to go directly through disney.

1 - you can't post what you included in your post in this board (dates, location) - it's not permitted.

2 - you can't post a reservation wanted thread on the Rent/Trade boards - you have to reply points offered threads that are posted there.

Almost all DVC properties are fully booked up at the beginning of the week you are talking about, I was unable to get any DVC property for 3 consecutive nights earlier that week and I called about a month ago. So as the PP said - you probably won't find anything.

As the previous poster said, we no longer allow Reservation Wanted threads, but you are welcome to reply into an existing Points for Rent thread.

If you had submitted a Reservation Wanted thread, you would not have been "kicked off" the R/T board. Your post would have been declined by the processing program, and you would have received a PM explaining the posting rule changes. :)

Ok...thanks! I thought I remembered renting points last time using a "reservation wanted" post, but did not see that as an option. Now I understand why I did not see it.

Sorry....have been off the disboards a few years following hubby around the world with his job! :)
