Question about "Quote" feature?

How do you all get a quote to appear from a certain person in your quote. I have noticed where it will say "Originally quoted by ......". I have tried the quote key but then all I get is "quote".

Does this make sense?

I just hit the quote button and it automatically adds the "Originally posted by..." portion. I don't know why it would not work the same for everyone.

If you look at the bottom of each post on this page, you will see a blue "quote" button (next to the EDIT button).
You have to use that one rather than the "qpte" button the reply page.

I didn't even realize that there was a quote button on the reply screen.

I guess I need to go back and retake DIS Posting 101.
