Question about QSDP

The way I read it is that a dessert comes with your counter service meal on the QSDP. What if we don't get the dessert at the time we eat our meal? Can we get the dessert at another time? I'm pretty confused about the DP!

You can't split your allotments between restaurants. You must get dessert at the same restaurant as the entree, at the same time.

At some CS it is apparently allowed to go back for ice cream so it doesn't melt. But you would have a marked receipt to present, you must go back to the same restaurant, and there is a certain amount of time (an hour to 90 minutes usually) within which you must go back for the ice cream.

You can also get a dessert that is portable and carry it with you. Many places have prepackaged desserts you can do this with.

I typically get the prepackaged desserts and take them back to the room. At the end of my trip last May. I ended up with all kinds of rice krispy treats and brownies to bring home with me. I haven't done the return for ice cream thing but I have read you can do that as well.
