Question about purchase through DVC

We sent back all our paperwork via FedEx this past Friday. How long till we can expect to hear something back from DVC?

We never heard anything. I called myself after a couple weeks to see if we closed. I also just looked up the deed myself online.

When buying from Disney everything is totally inconsequential. Once they get your down payment they load the points into your account and you can immediately make reservations. In fact, since we put ours on our credit card we had the reservation before we even hung up with our guide... It will close when ever...does not really matter. I think our closing was three weeks from final paperwork. That is the upside of buying direct. It is like buying a product. Pay your money and get immediate use. You don't have a big 4-6 week drawn out process like buying resale.

Within 10 days after your initial direct buy purchase you will usually receive your DVC member number and temporary user name for the MS online website. Closing depends on whether you financed or paid cash. If you financed all of that needs to process and then closing takes place. If you paid cash you should close within 2 to 3 weeks and after about 6 weeks you get a copy of the filed deed. I'm not sure how it works with a loan.

You can also call MS at anytime to see if your points are available and get your member number and set you up on the online system. You also call your guide and ask any questions you have as well.

We have our membership cards and have made reservations using our points, but we don't have to info to log on to the DVC website. They said that would be mailed to us and I was wondering if it wouldn't come till after we closed. I also thought we would get some sort of notification of it actually closing!

We never got the stuff to log in other than what came with our membership cards. I had to call to get the authorization code for the website after we closed. And then DH had to call for his (they wouldn't give me both of ours).

Call MS for your log on info. You will receive your deed info when Disney gets around to it.

Member cards, log in info, reservations, looks like you are all set!
