Question about pull-out beds

We are possibly considering a villa for a next trip, which would of course be a queen bed and a pull-out sofa bed.

How comfortable are those pull-out beds? Would you feel the bars in them and is the padding on the top thin?

My sister will be sleeping on the pull-out and just to give you the idea of why I am asking, she is a big girl. She is concerned that with her weight she would really feel the bars in them.

I could consider switching beds with her, but I really don't want to. I am picky about my bed and am a light sleeper. My sister can sleep anywhere as long as the bed is soft. Also, for somewhat selfish reasons, I am paying for the room, so I want the bed.

I don't know if this is true or not, but I was told by a reservations agent when I inquired about using a code on our WL reservation.

They said there weren't any rooms available in the main lodge, but we could book a studio villa on the code.

I asked about the pull out and was told they are European style pull outs with wooden frames and are much more comfortable than an American style with metal bar frames.

like I say, I don't know if that is true or not.

We decided to stay in our WL Standard rooms, btw.

We just stayed at Beach Club VIllas from 6/14 to 6/21 and the pull out sofa was very comfy. I felt no bars or wires of any sorts. It was as comfortable as the queen size bed. It seemed very high quality.

Last time we were at BCV (Dec. 2005) I slept on the pull out. The first night - yes I definitely felt the "bar". However, I had learned from another guest to take the throw pillow and put it between the matress & the bar. The slept perfectly the rest of the trip. And I am a pretty picky sleeper.

I don't think that they have changed out the sleeper sofas yet at VWL. They may still be the older type with the bar underneath. They are not the European type with the wood frame.

OKW and SSR have the type with the memory foam. BWV and BCV have the type where the cushions didn't come off.
