Question about private villa/townhouse rentals from owner ...

Do they tend to give any price breaks due to length of stay? We normally would go for 2 weeks (or 10 - 12 days minimum), because we are coming from so far, and shopping is usualy a priority as well, it is no holiday if it's any shorter! As you can imagine, 2 weeks anywhere adds up, and we have to rent a car too. We are a family of 5 and like more space than a hotel room. We also wished we'd had a private pool last time, so we'd love one next time.

Any ideas? Anyone stayed a long time and gotten a good deal? We wouldn't be talking about peak or holiday time - it would either be low or moderate season, or a combo of the two.

If you go to www.fabvillas.com and look under special offers. There are alot of homes that give a discount on longer stays. That's were I found our villa last year and the one will will be at in 18 days! I got a last minute deal for the one this year and I think it was an excellent price.

If you found a home I would talk to the owner. Most give longer stay discounts. Just ask all they can say is no.

There tends to be offers come on for Fall and off season breaks so it may be worth just finding something you like and as isla bonita says contact the owner - you have nothing to lose.

As owners we do give discounts for stay longer then 14 nights most villa owners do if you book direct .
