Question about Premium Character dining voucher

Hi everyone,
I am planning on booking my next trip soon and was wondering about the premium dining voucher you get from Costco.
I understand you can use it for any table service in the parks, but does anyone know if it is used per person at a table service restaurant or can it be used against a bill?
for instance if DH and I go to have lunch and out total bill is like 20$ will they just use 1 voucher against that or will they want a voucher per meal?

The voucher has a value of about $40. If you use it against a bil of only $20, you lose the other $20 value. BUT to answer the question, yes, they take the value against the bill.

Yes, but your example is a little flawed. A Premium CM Voucher (PCMV) is worth $40. You would only want to use it if your bill exceeds $40. If you use it for a $20 tab, you lose $20. I guess if you are referring to the free one you get with Costoc, you aren't out anything...However, I would want to use my perks to their max benefit.
If two people are dining, and your bill is $60, you could use one $40 PCMV and pay the $20 difference.
I suggest getting a PCMV only if you are enjoying a Premium Character Meal for lunch or dinner only. You lose $ if you use them for breakfast.
