I just got my Credit card bill in and there are two on from Disney - one I'm thinking is for CRT and one for the Segway tour.

I also made an ADR for PSB in EPCOT - did I imagine this or is this not pre-payment as well??

Any info anyone can give on those which are pre-pay and those not would be fab.

Thanks. :thumbsup2

Yes, the princess meals at Norway and at Cinderella's Royal Table are pre-purchased in advance.

None of the other meals are pre-payments, but they will ask for your credit card to hold reservations at California Grill, charging you a steep surcharge per person if you are a no-show.

Oh, and they hold your credit card for the dinner shows, Hoop De Doo and Spirit of Aloha luau. They don't charge you until you check in for the show.

I'm confused. I thought they took your credit card info when making ADRs for CRT just to hold the reservation, but that you only were charged if you were a no-show.

I'm going to be using dining plan credits for the meal. Does this mean I'm going to have to pay for the meal now, and then once I actually go there to eat I'll use my dining credits and then have to get the charges reversed on my card?

The princess meal at Norway is just a credit card hold. You pay when you go, or have to cancel before 48 hours.

you're on the dining plan, the CM should be able to verify that fact. Tell the CM that you want to use dining plan credits for CRT. They then should take your card as a guarantee, as you noted, in case you don't show.

If you're not on the DDP or do not note it at the the time of your ADR, your card will be charged at the time the ADR is made. My bill for our June trip came in a couple of weeks ago, but I'm not doing the DDP this trip.

Okay I have a room booked for Feb 2010 but not a package yet. I am considering CRT for breakfast when I go and eventually am going to upgrade to a package and probably DxDDP as well. Just waiting for deals to come out before Feb 2010.

Now do I have to have the package done by my 90 day window to not get my CC charged for CRT? I don't want charges reversed because doing CDN exchange twice will probably cause me to lose on the deal!

I have a travel agent doing all my ADR's and watching for deals.. but since I have to email her to find out, why not post here and probably get a simple question answered quick!

TIA

Thanks for the clarification. I thought it was booked like CRT, not like HDDR or Spirit of Aloha.

I'd say your best bet is to ask your travel agent. They are trained to answer those questions, since they'd be the ones making your ADRs for you.

Thanks for the feedback folks. If I'm reading this right then:

CRT - pre-paid
PSB - credit card hold

I've also got a credit card hold for Fantasmic Dinner Package. I booked Spirit of Aloha yesterday and it was full payment up front.

We are doing CRT for breakfast when we go and it's weird to have paid for a meal that we haven't even eaten yet... :lmao:

Thank you, Hootch, for that explanation! It all makes sense now . . .

I'm not sure if it's still the case, but when I was booking my ADR's for May/June 2008, it was still 180 days when you could make the ressies. I did not have my package purchased yet but was going to buy the DxDP. I was able to make my ressies with a Spirit of Aloha ressie and not have to prepay, just had to have credit card hold. And as a side note, I ended up having to cancel the SoA dinner anyway b/c we got tickets to the P&PP for that evening and couldn't find another time.
