Hopefully someone can give me some insight to our problem. We've been calling trying to confim our reservations and are having some issues we've never run across before:

My mom made reservations for 2 rooms in her name. She got an email comformation for 1 room listed in my husband's name. Then she got something in the mail a day or so later for 1 room in her name. She called to ask why and confirm all the info and have BOTH rooms put in her name.
The response she got was that they had where she made 2 reservations, one in her name, one in his. Here's the kicker: they pretty much are REFUSING to put them both in her name:confused: She made the reservations, she's paying for both rooms, why wouldn't they show them both as hers? Then they tried to get her to confirm her phone number...she did and they said it was correct for one, but not for the other, so she tried her cell number--that wasn't it either!? Those are the only too phone numbers she's had for 10 years!:confused3

The last time we stayed at Pop, our reservations got messed up, so maybe we are just being too careful, but we've NEVER come across this issue before.:guilty:

I think it is somewhat new (late last year?) that they started asking for the name and address of every guest. I made a reservation for 2 rooms for my May trip at Pop. I was making both reservations as I am the AP holder. One confirmation was emailed to me and the other confirmation was mailed to my friend's sister in law who was in the other room.

I didn't have any problems at check in.

I have a packaged booked with AAA for our August trip but when AP rates came out I booked 1 night for a friend from FL and they insisted they had to send the confirm to her even though I was paying for the room.

Good luck!

We are probably just worrying too much. I'm just worried that when we get there something will be wrong and they won't recognize us as traveling "together" and will (try to) stick us in different places.:scared1:

I have reservations for two rooms at Pop for the end of August. My DH and DS are in one room and my son's girlfriend and I are in the other room. I have two reservation numbers and have requested connecting rooms. I was also given a "travel with" number. They know we are together.

I have booked 2 rooms at Pop, one for hubby and I and one for our 19yoDD and her friend. I had to put the second room in DD's name, but I was able to pay the deposit for both rooms with my CC, and also to pay the balance on both rooms with the same CC at check in.

Also, they linked the two reservations, and the rooms were adjoining (next door to each other). It was no problem.

That's the same fear I'm having. We requested connecting rooms as well. In our minds, we HAVE to have them due to the fact that 1) my daughter HAS to sleep in my mother's room, 2) we take alot of our own food, but only one travel fridge, so we are constantly back and forth and 3) we are going on vacation together--its nice to be able to walk and talk to each other without having to go outside and in every tine. I'm really not fond of being in a different room that has no door between it. I'm worried that they will view it as 2 different reservations and not even try to accomodate that request.

I'm sorry to say they will not guarantee you connecting rooms. Call and ask to have a "travel with" added to both reservations. When they see the "travel with" on your reservation they will try to get you the connecting rooms or at least close to each other....but again....no guarantees.

As mentioned by Cherylcit, I have a "travel with" number, which I hope will help us get connecting or at least adjoining rooms. Of course, since we are all adults, it is not imperative that we have connecting rooms, but I would prefer it.

We'll see what happens when we get there.

Yes, I am aware that nothing is guaranteed....lol, after several trips and over a year on this board, that's the one thing I AM sure of.;) Well, that and don't pool hop! (not that I would anyway) In any case, we have never had a problem getting them though in 13 trips there and I don't anticipate having one this time.

I didn't know about the 'travel with' though...I will call and ask about that. They told us they 'linked' the rooms and on the ressie confim it says something about it being a "magical gathering?" Can you tell I'm not the one who usually handles booking the rooms?:sad2:

I've requested connecting rooms at both Pop and the All Stars a number of times over the years, and I've always gotten them. I know they're not guaranteed, but based on my experience, your chances are pretty darn good. I wouldn't sweat it.
