Question about Pool View @ AKL

We have a pool view reservation at AKL in September. Looking at the map it looks like Zebra Trail wraps around the pool. Is there rooms on the ground level? We are wanting a "pool view" and hoping to be at least on the 2nd story for a nice view. It has been a few years since we stayed at AKL and I can't remember how it is layed out. We did add to the reservation that we would like to be on the 3rd floor but know this is just a request and there is no guarantee. Can someone help who is familiar with this resort let me know what to expect.

I stayed at AKL late last year with a pool view reservation. I requested Zebra Trail with an unobstructed view of the pool. I got a room on Giraffe Trail that had a nice view of the pool--and liked that even better.

I was near the ice machine and an elevator where you could easily get to the buses without having to go back through the lobby. Where the buses dropped you off you could go in the side entrance before the lobby and save yourself some walking.

There's a lot of trees in the pool view area so if you want a good view of the pool be sure to request it.

We had a pool room view when we stayed in September. I was disappointed with our view. They did move us to another room that was a little better, but they did not have a lot of options because they said they were booked.

There are a lot of trees surrounding the pool. I would guess that a large number of the "pool room views" don't really have much of a view of the pool. I would definitely talk to the front desk when you check in to be sure you get a good view.

We were in 4418 (Zebra Trail) and this is the view from our room. Even up that high and that far away it can be noisy during the afternoon, especially if your balcony door is open. It was always quiet during our sleeping hours in February.
