Question about poly pools...

Is there a splash area for little ones? Is there a picture of it?

I read on WDWmagic: Nanea Volcano Pool (7am-12am) Zero entry feature pool with Volcano waterslide. Kiddie wet play area located nearby. The Polynesian resort does not have a hot tub.

So, I am guessing there is one, but I haven't seen a picture of it. If there is no small child splash area, we might consider another resort. it would be a deal breaker since I have a small guy that really needs that splash area.

There is a small splash area to the side of the main pool. BUT depending on when you are going, it may not be open since the pool is being redone. I think it will be closed until Spring 2015. If you are going after that time, you should be fine. I guess I don't know what the new pool will look like though once it's redone.

Pretty small compared to some of the other resorts. Maybe they will make a better one after the pool rehab!!

I don't know if I would even qualify that small area as a kiddie splash area. There are less than half a dozen holes in the ground that spout up water. I have heard that after all the improvements to the Volcano Pool, that there will be a legitimate splash area. I feel like you might be really disappointed with what is currently there.

I agree. But Disney considers it a splash area and lists that they have it. So, there you go. It's a sad splash pad compared to the one at BLT.
