We are staying in the lagoon view concierge room and so far they have been terrific. They are helping me with a letter to send to my oldest girls to surprise them on the way down to disney world. They have no clue I have been planning this or that we are even going. LOL.
Anyway, as you know I want to make this magical to them since they are at the right age for that. I have gotten some good advice on gifts for the girls. One was mickey mouse hats and charm bracelets. Anything else you can give me would be great, also does poly do towel animals? My daughters including me have NEVER seen them would love for them to see some in our room.

Hi, I am not sure how old your girls are....but our last trip (I have girls aged 8 and 5) we did the Princess Tea Party at the Grand Floridian. It was just about the hit of their trip. I thought it was expensive, but it was worth it!! They were just in awe of the great stories and music. The lady that plays Princess Rose Petal is soooo talented and makes it just a wonderful experience. They left with a charm bracelet, a sleeping beauty doll, some scrapbook pages, and other misc, stuff. It was just so magical, really very special.

As far as gifts or surprises - my two enjoy picking out their own stuff. They always get a princess dress (my 8 year old doesn't anymore, though) THey like the beanies, pins for pin trading - THAT is a good one! You could get them a lanyard with starter pins on it for pin trading!! THat is one of their favorites at the parks.

Have a super trip and enjoy them when they are young and enthralled with the magic. I have a 14 year old son that is "over it". I am bummed about that one.

We don't always get towel animals, but they are really really no big deal anyway. If you want a guaranteed surprise in the room, arrange with concierge to leave your child gifts each day. (that you supply the $ for)

Don't count on towel animals--even if you get them, they might not exactly rock their world, lol. They aren't that amazing, IMHO. Cute, but not a big deal. (and not getting them seems to be a big letdown to people! so if that might be you, arrange for other surprises!)

My dd loves running back to the room to see what she will find there each day, but we have had the same housekeeper for several trips--and she just doesn't do towel animals very often--and yes, we tip her very very well--. She doesn't even arrange dd's stuffed animals or anything--but she is very nice. :)

Thank you so much for all you help.

My daughters are 2 , 7 and 9 years old.

Thank you for the tips, Keep them coming!! :D

I was thinking about doing the princess and mom tea party. It is really exoensive and my daughter is a little too young for it. Instead we will do the regular afternoon tea there. They have menu items for children.

on the disney florist website I saw a cute basket with mickey snacks and hat, autograph book and pen, it was really cute, maybe they would also like it. but it says only local deliveries, I wonder if since your staying con. they will send it to you at home. If so please let me know, I would love to order them myself but I don't think they consider Tx as local.

I've done Poly CL 3 times and NEVER had a towel animal. I think you'll love cocierge with the girls. My kids (5, 3, 21 months on last trip) loved the concierge lounge and hated eating anywhere else. On my next trip I will plan far less PS's and supplement the concierge with take out from Captain Jack's as needed.

ENJOY!

The concierge planning staff should be able to arrange Disney florist deliveries to your room if you were interested in that. They did for us.

My girls were a bit older than yours (13 & 11) but as first timers they did appreciate the CRT first seating breakfast reservation that concierge was able to obtain. They also enjoyed the autograph books, pens and Epcot passports that were in our room waiting for them upon arrival. We decided to hold off on pins and such as we suspected our girls would like to choose their own.

This past December we took a quickie second trip and our girls did enjoy afternoon tea at the GF as Taratink suggested. You can even dress up for this if you wanted to as a little girl and her mom did when we were there. My girls also made appointments for hair braiding in the GF salon and the staff there were SO friendly. The GF also has first manicure/first facial experiences for young girls that can likely be booked through concierge if your older girls are into that sort of thing. Have fun planning!
