Question about points

Hey everybody,

I'm planning a trip to Disney World OKW in July 2016. Can I use my banked points from 2014 and current points from 2015 for this 2016 trip, if I booked in next few months? Or does this 2016 trip require 2016 points and points banked from 2015?

What is your use year? That will make the determination what points you can use.

It depends on your use year. If your use year starts in, say, October then it should work out because your 2014 banked points are only good during your 2015 use year which would run from October 1, 2015 to September 30, 2016 and July 2016 falls in that period. If your use year starts during the January through July timeframe, though, you'll be out of luck for the 2014 points. Even if your use year starts in July, that would be July 1st and the period would be July 1, 2015 through June 2016 - your trip would be in the 2016 use year. So, basically, it depends on what month your use year starts and you'd need it to be a month or more *after* July.

There's no July use year (or Jan, May, Nov). If your use year is Feb-June, 2016 would be current. If your use year is Aug-December, 2015 would be current.

Four years ago, you said your family had a June use year. That being the case, you cannot use 2014 points for a trip in July 2016.
