Question about POFQ

We booked POFQ back in Feb. at standard rooms but our travel agent at AAA was able to upgrade us to closer rooms. My mom spoke with her yesterday and she said we are in the building right next to the bus stop and the food court with a water view. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the building next to the bus stop building four and that is not next to the water? Or is Disney now considering showers a water view? I'm wondering if she was mistaken and we're in building five next to the dock?

Pool and fountain views are also considered water views I believe. Seriously.

At this point it would only be a request. Yes they consider any type of water a water view. Most times I don't think water view is worth the money.

Generally the building assigment would not be done this early.
The POFQ is so compact that any building is near the main building,the bus stop and/or the pool.
To me the extra charge for a waterview room is not worth it, I'd go with the standard rate.
I've stayed at the POFQ twice, the first time we were in building 3 and the second time in building 5, but at the oppposite end of the river. We were a few steps away from the pool and not far from the main building. Both were great locations.

We had asked for preferred because my mother can only walk short distances and spends a lot of time when we're on vacation in a wheel chair. The AAA agent told us the only way we could do this was to book a water view and that she would explain the situtation to the hotel. When my mom called down to POFQ before they said they could only deal with the agent at this time - not my mom.

Your travel agent is the only one that can contact WDW and make any changes. There aren't preferred locations at any moderate but CBR. They can put something in the reservation but you can also ask when you check in.

you are right in thinking the buildings on the water are certainly not the closest to the bus stop

but I do know they consider a view of a fountain a "water view" which is just plain stupid

we paid for water view last time....not worth it

Water view is not going to put you closer to anything. I wouldn't pay extra for that. Just book the regular room and request to be near the food court and/or bus stop. Your TA sounds like he/she is confused.
