Question about Platinum & 2 Rooms

My wife and I just hit platinum this year, and we will be going on another cruise later this year with my parents. As of now my wife and I are in room 1, and my parents are in room 2. I was considering swapping one person in each reservation so that we had at least one Platinum in each room but I had a few questions about how this works.

1 - Once on-board, will we be able to switch back so that my wife's card opens our door and charges to our room folio?

2 - By having a platinum in each room, I know we will be able to check-in both rooms at 120 days, but if after boarding we switch back then does the 2nd room lose the platinum benefits like free Palo?

1- Yes. You wife can get a blank room key card to open the door to your room. But her actual KTTW card will remain attached to the original room. Each KTTW card can have it's own credit card assigned, regardless of which room it's actually in.
2- Yes, the Platinum comped meal is for the Platinum member and all other adults IN THE SAME ROOM. If you move you wife from room 2 to room 1 then room 2 will no longer have a platinum member in it.

Thanks for asking the question! I am in the same situation but with gold status. I booked a room under my name for my mom and another room under DD’s name for DD and me. Glad to know I can get a blank key card to access DD’s room.

Can I use the same credit card for both rooms? DD doesn’t have a USD credit card. TIA!

When you do your online check in, you specify what back up you want for each KTTW card. One credit card for all KTTW cards across two rooms/separate credit cards for each KTTW card/whatever.
