Question about Pinnochio Village Haus

I just checked the menu for Pinnochio Village Haus and was a little disappointed. For some reason I thought this place had brats with a big fixin's bar that included sauerkraut & such. My mouth was watering for one of those (I know, I know...). Is this something they use to have or is my mind just thinking stuff up tonight? Maybe I'll hold out for Sommerfest at Germany in the WS!

I remember the Fixin's Bar!! :thumbsup2 Though I don't remember the Bratwurst....I remember the burgers and fries :lmao: I know all the menu changes happened before 2006 because when I went to Disney that year I was shocked to not see that great Fixin's bar.

Haven't eaten there with the new menu yet.

It had Brats the last time we were there!!! One of them was my daughter who wouldn't sit down!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Sorry, I couldn't resist!!!

I love Pinnochio Village Haus. Its one of my favorite CS. The pizza is GREAT! I've eaten there several times, and nothing has ever been less than perfect. I think its really underrated. Kinda OT, but just my point.
I've eaten at Biergarten three times. The last time I was disappointed, but the Brats were awesome. Never had a bad Bratwurst ANYWHERE actually!:confused3 .

Ok, so no brats (well, not of the eating variety), but is there a fixin's bar with sauerkraut?

No- there used to be but they took it away about 2 years ago or so. Now it is mostly italian type sandwich fare and the fixins are gone. Our family sorely misses the cheese for the fries and all the other little extras to make our food extra special!

Too bad. Looks like it might be back to Peco Bill's for us. We end up doing that one every year, but I just can't seem to find anything that appeals to me more. That fixin's bar is hard to beat!

It seems the only place that does have a fixins bar anymore is Pecos Bill's, wonder how much longer it'll be there.
I also heard the Figaro fries were gone from PVH anybody know?

I saw Figaro Fries on the menu but it was online....I do know that they are covered under the snack credit on DDP which I think is very exciting!!

It is great but they have removed the cheese from it. No more cheese fries.

What about Cosmic Rays? I think it had one if I remember correctly. Didnt Electric Umberella have one? Not sure... but i seem to recall it.

I hated that too. I'm convinced that it was because of people throwing cheese covered fries to the birds outside. (guilty) After I saw the mess one of my children had made with a messy cheese fry on another table, I thought to myself "I'm surprised they haven't put up more signs or something" I'm sure my children weren't the first to do it. We cleaned up the mess on the other table (and didn't do it again), but it left some cheese on the ground when the bird got the fry and flew off. I can see how it would tick off the CMs who clean the area.

Maybe they got rid of the fixin's bar because people were using it to make free salads????

We always hit Pinocchios for a CS meal. Good Stuff!!!

There is still a fixins bar at Cosmic Rays, which had the cheese, but I don't remember seeing one at the Electric Umbrella when I was there in March. We ate at both places.

I'm NOT saying they didn't do this, but the way I see it, the FEW who do make salads are just that... a FEW. The overwhelming majority of diners will NOT make a salad from the fixings bar, and most of those who DO (guilty... and will continue to do so) are usually regulars. The way I see it, the regulars have earned the right to a little free lettuce and tomato. If I spend a MINIMUM of $4000 a year at WDW, I don't see the harm in a little free lettuce and pickles. I mean seriously, a HEAD OF LETTUCE at Walmart is less than a buck or so, I imagine Disney pays closer to 10 cents for a head of lettuce.:surfweb:
Since this is strictly OT, thats all I'm going to say on that subject.:dance3:

I love the fixin' bar at Cosmic Rays. I adore the mushrooms! They always have sauerkraut but I'm not a fan. I love that they have so many different ways to spruce up a burger or dippings for your fires. (I love to mix ketchup and mustard and occasionally a dollop of mayo too)
