question about pin number

Hi,

I got an email that had a "code" in it, but it was a 3-digit code. When I called the reservation number, the recording prompted me to enter my 15-digit pin code that I received via email or regular mail.

I have never heard that prompt when I called previously (called a few times over the past couple of weeks). So I assumed one was mailed to me but maybe I just don't have it yet.

The CM told me that nobody has a pin code right now and if I were to get one, I would get it via email or regular mail and it would be 15 digits.

Am I wrong to assume I have one since I was prompted to enter one? And if I do have one, would a CM be able to look it up if I didn't have it in front of me?

Emails with 3 digit codes are not really a PIN deal. The code is just the general booking code and has more to do with marketing techniques than discounts.

This happened to me last year and I negotiated a discount with the disney travel agent. I would call back and see if someone is willing to deal. Can't hurt to try!

OK - thanks for the replies. I guess I'll just hold out and hope a real pin arrives. Worst case is the 15% discount from AAA. Not bad...but I'd prefer 30% or more if I can get it!
