I was so excited when I opened my emails a few weeks ago for a pin code in Dec. My mom had already told me that was our family present this year... She was taking us to Disney. So when I realized that it was in her name I thought it was no big deal she would be with us.....
Well now my mom at the age of 46 is having a little surprise come along... in the shape of a new brother or sister for me!!!! :scared1::scared1:
I know that is what I was thinking too... her and my stepdad have been married for 19 years and there youngest is 14.... SURPRISE... lol
Well now she does not think it is the best idea for her to go seeing as how she will be 7 months pregnant.
She said that the pin code issue should not be a problem because she is still paying for the trip but I think she is wrong.
Who is right? Please Help?

To my understanding, the person that received the PIN has to be on the reservation and has to check-in.

I'm not sure if there's a way to remove her name from the reservation without having to give up the PIN. I think the whole requirement is that the PIN receiver does have to be there.

And I agree; :scared1:! I could not imagine!

When I booked my PIN, I asked the guy if it would be a problem that the PIN is in my maiden name while my drivers license is in my married name.

He said yes, there would be a major problem, and I wouldn't be allowed to check in.

...so to get around that I just didn't update my passport yet. Hehe.

She has to be with you, sorry!!

Thats what I figured... the code was for free dining in Dec.
Since she is paying for the trip it wouldnt kill us to pay for the dining plan....
Does anyone know if I can buy the dining plan for my DD1 1/2 even though she does not have to pay for a ticket...
I know everyone is going to say she can share with DS4 but when we went in March he ate all of his own food... and she likes to eat and it would be nice not to have to lug around meals for her.

I didn't think you had to pay for a child that young on DDP, so you'd have to call and find out. But, I'm sure WDW isn't going to tell you no if you are wanting to give them more money.. :lmao:

If you want to buy the DDP for your daughter, you have to buy her park tickets too! Not the best way to spend your money. Book the buffets for your sit down meals. She'll eat free there and can even get her own plate.

when I took my kids my 3yr would not share with my 1 yr old so we ate a lot of buffets and paid out of pocket for her meals. MUCH CHEAPER

Don't buy her the dining plan. When you eat at buffets she will eat free. When you eat elsewhere, just pay the extra cost for her entree (or whatever you want to order for her). They will give you a separate check for her 'food' and keep in mind that generally when they do this they will automatically incl the gratuity on that bill (it will be shown on a seperate line all by itself). So you can take that into consideration when determining your tip for your dining plan items. I'm just making you aware so that you don't double up on your tips unless you want to.
I think you'll be surprised at how little extra she will cost to feed and the DDP won't be as cost effective for her as you might think. But I could be wrong...;) I've been wrong before.
Have a wonderful trip and enjoy the Cmas decorations.
