Question about PI

Hi, I applied for 2 PI's and I was wondering when Disney will contact you. I heard they will let you know on May 1st the latest, but I haven't received an email or anything. Anyone know? Thanks

Everyone was supposed to hear back by the 1st. However, judging by the Facebook group for PIs, there are several candidates who have not yet heard. Some departments seem to be running behind - I suppose it depends on the position. Which two PIs did you apply for?

I saw that several people had called and that we should all hear on Monday. If you don't hear anything by then, you could try calling HR.

There isn't a link for HR/Casting....

You just need to either send them an e-mail (the one listed on the website) or try and find a phone number. A quick search of the boards would probably bring it up.

It has been answered many times before, again, that no, not everyone gets a first interview. Some people are hired based on their resume.

It doesn't really matter when in the process you applied...everyone technically started waiting on March 26 for Alumni Only PIs and February 26 for Management Internships. It would be the same for whenever the Engineering ones closed.

I'm not really sure what their phone number is, I just saw other people had called them on Friday. You might be able to try the phone number in the email for the screening interview. I guess they'll transfer you if it's not the appropriate department.

I also applied for the Des&Eng PI and I had my first interview two weeks ago and now I'm playing the waiting game. Did you apply for this summer? If you did you definitely should've had a first interview by now since they told me that my internship would be starting at the end of May.

So, the person that interviewed me told me it could take 3 weeks to hear about it. I just past the two week mark since the first interview, is there a second interview? I feel like their should be since it's a technical internship, but since the internship should be starting in 3-4 weeks is there really time for another interview and then another waiting game to hear back? Any help?

Also, on the website I applied for an internship in Anaheim but the person who interviewed me implied I'd be at WDW. Should I assume the website is right and the person just didn't look? And does Disney provide housing for PI's in Anaheim?

I called this morning and they said that they're still making decisions on all the accounting and engineering PI's, so everyone should be contacted either this week or next week. You can call and ask about your application specifically though. The phone number is: 1-800-722-2930.

No, this is just the internship hotline, so the person who answers can't really give you specifics about a certain internship, but they can look up your profile to see if a decision has been made or if your application is still being processed.

I'm taking about summer. They said mine would start in May too. I think PI's in California are offered housing as well, except for the management internships, but I'm not 100% sure.

Katie: thanks for the info... this is killing me because I have another internship already lined up but if Disney wants me then I would drop them because... well... Disney is my DREAM job. But if Disney doesn't want me then I really need to start setting up housing in NYC. Would they have contacted me already if i had not gotten the internship? I'm too chicken to call the hotline... i don't think i can take that rejection during finals week... haha.

Fox: I'm a Junior Mechanical Engineer at Syracuse University, so this would be an internship between my Junior and Senior year. What year are you?

Right now I am a Sophomore going to my Junior year majoring in Mechanical Engineering at University of Maryland, Baltimore County. And I now realized that for the internship that we were talking about, I needed at least 3 years of college experience. DUHH! Well I am still waiting for the PT Manufacturing Engineering PI. What other internships have you applied for?
