so i was looking at other peoples engagement picture and saw that they were taken at WDW. DO you know if the photographers would do engagement pictures even if we don't book them for wedding. (I can't hire them for my wedding cause we are getting married in Kentucky) We haven't had any engagement pictures taken yet and we have been engaged for 2 years now.:guilty: I would love to have them taken at WDW, because his family took me there for my first visit this summer and fell in love with it.:lovestruc We have decided that is where our honeymoon is going to be. So back to original question can we get a disney photographer to take our pics or is it the people with the photopass?

thanks for the help! :thanks:

You can book a resort or park photo shoot thru disney (look on the resorts board) or hire an outside photographer to do a specific engagement shoot. If you just need a few and aren't really doing a trial run for your wedding pics which it seems is at least part of the motivation of some couples, I think the Disney photographers with a prepaid photopass would be the way to go.

Yes, I have noticed lots of on engagement shoots and family shoots and other non-wedding shoots on the proofing sites of the various local photographers. I'm sure any of them would be happy to work with you.

Also, I can't vouch for outside photographers' prices, but I do know Disney jacked up the price of its Resort Portrait Sessions with PhotoPass photographers recently. It's now $149.95, plus another $49.95 if you want to combine those pictures on one disc with PhotoPass images from inside the parks (which then prohibits you from editing or enhancing any of the images on the disc). Considering PhotoPass cast members are not even professional photographers, personally, I'd rather investigate hiring an outside photographer.

I agree with Carrie on this. Look for an outside photographer to do your E-pics. We did a photopass session at the Poly while we were there in Aug. I only paid $25 for it. It wasn't even really worth that as there are only a few that we even like. The photogs aren't pros so the pics are just like good snapshots. I would never pay $150 for it.

I know Misty Miotto does e-pics at the resorts, I don't think you are allowed to do do professional pics in the parks but resort pics would be beautiful. Check out Misty's site! www.mistymiotto.com

I know that the park photos like if you were to get them done at MK are 300 dollars for the engagement session itself... I don't know if you can do that any cheaper with a photopass option so hopefully someone will chime in there b/c I was wondering that anyways?

Well, you could just go up to a Photopass photog in the parks and have them take a few pix of you and use those. You just wouldn't have an appointment or dedicated chunk of time with them. But it sure would be cheaper! :)
