I have seen most of the wonderful, very creative DISigns on this board. I am going to DLR later this month (AAHHHH I'm so excited). OK my question, I would really like to make T-shirts with my kids names on it but is there anyone here who has concerns about safety? I have heard many bad things about how people can call the kids name and they forget that it's on their shirt, etc. Should I be really concerned about this? I know I can get t-shirts done without their names but with them seems so much nicer plus I know they would love it.

I am actually struggling with that very same thing. I don't allow them to wear shirts with their names on them. When we play baseball/softball I make them take a shirt to change into after the game if we aren't going home because their jersey usually has their name. I really like the designs with their names for WDW but not sure how to get over my fear.

I have only one shirt with our names on them and I will double remind them not to answer to anyone...however, the names are on the front and someone will really have to study the shirt to see the name because of the design..I have to say tho, I usually see people that I know there, but I will tell the kids not to leave me...which I am sure they won't anyway...

I'm struggling with the same concern. Decided NOT to use a name shirt for the 5 year old; but making shirts for a 10, 12, and 16 year old who all KNOW BETTER!

I also struggled with this. I got 1 shirt for each of the kids with their names. My kids are small enought that they never leave my side, but i also figured if someone was close enought to read the name on their shirt, then they would be close enought to hear me talking to the child also. I figured 1 shirt would be safe there.

I have no issues with it - my girls know not to go with someone just because they know their name- they have unusual names, it is not easy to get things personalized so I do alot of my own personalization. They love wearing their shirts - I figure where else can they wear them - As far as wearing them in our hometown - everyone knows who they are anyway so why not let them wear the shirts with their names on them.

I must be a "bad" parent because this thought never crossed my mind. All of our shirts had our name on them-either front or back and we didn't have a single problem-except for all the times we had to say "THANK YOU" when we received a compliment on our awesome shirts!!!!:cool1:
