We were thinking of having a quick lunch here on our arrival day. We've been to the parks a lot, so this trip we thought we'd do some touring of the resorts. My question is: Are the meals here big enough to share between two adults for a light lunch? We don't want anything that's going to stuff us because we're having dinner just 4 hours later, but we also don't want to be so hungry that we're sick by dinner. Thanks in advance!

I really depends on what you get. Hubby and I usually get the Bourbon Chicken (which is fabulous) and it is defiently enough to share if you are just looking for a light lunch. You get the chicken in a bowl by itself, an additional bowl of rice or noodles, a side of veggies and then you can order egg rolls on the side if you want to. There are many other options for items that can be easily shared, Pizza, fajitas, half a rotisserie chicken, etc. Definetly doable for a shared lunch.

I'll give you my Disney trip if you'll give me your "little engineer" when he/she comes! Congratulations! :sunny:

Thanks for the Congrats. He pirate: is due the end of February, we are very excited as he will be our first. Hubby works on the Steam Train at MK so he can't wait to have a "little boy to share his toys with" ;)

Enjoy your trip...

My husband and I often share fajitas here. We've shared other meals as well.

Yes, the meals are very easy to share if you want to have something light to eat. The fajitas are really good, and so are the quesidillas. Plus if you find you are still hungry, you can just go up and get a side of something!

DD and I were there in Nov and made mistake of getting two meals which is way too much food.I got fajitas and she got taco salad. Both were very large and could have easliy been split.Another night we got individual pizza and some fries and split it.Not my favorite restaurant.I thought that some of the food looked like it had been around a while and not all of the stations were adequately staffed. We had a lousy server with a lousy attitude drop off drinks.I honestly think they dont make an effort because they know the tip is mandatory.I didnt like that you are caged in literaly behind a fence.I dont know if people tried to eat and left without paying or what but it made me feel claustrophobic. The Mayan Grill had a nice buffet breakfast and since they open very early we still made it to park for early entry w/o any problems.

Thanks so much for your replies everyone! I think we'll give it a try even though we have heard the service isn't always great. Where we're from bad service is an art so we're very used to it. Sadly, I've come to expect it. I even gave my compliments to the manager when we got a server at O'Charley's who brought us our rolls without asking (plus--she refilled our drinks, even better in my book)!
